The site's database has been updated with the fourth chapter from the Kinsmen Smith book. This update brings the male lines up to the sixth generation and the female lines to the eighth generation. In a few instances the male lines are carried to the seventh or eighth generation, and the female lines to the tenth generation.
Due to personal privacy issues, individuals born in the 1900s (a few tenth generation entries) will not displayed. Exceptions will be persons known to have passed, and those that give their expressed permission to be included in the displayed entries.
A new search feature has been added to the site. You enter either the first or last name, or both to search for family members. Partial names can be used, for example a last name of Wood will return entries of Wood, Woodhull, Woodruff, etc.
An attempt has been made to identify families with similiar names by use of a description after the last name. For example, a Tangier Smith family member may be identified by a last name of Smith (Tangier). The search results are sorted by last name - therefore, be sure to scroll through the entire search results list if needed to find a particular individual. A search for M Smith will have Mary Smith (Tangier) at the end of the list. Please note that not all individuals have their family identified in such a manner (a Tangier Smith member's last name may be listed only as Smith).
